Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player
When I connect to the computer using Windows Media Player it doesn't recognize the MP3 player anymore or let me syn with it. I have tried using other USB ports - it makes a different noise when I connect it then the usual connection sound and even though the screen of the player says it is connected and will recharge it I cannot get the computer to let me sync the player and add or remove music. Nothing has changed on the main computer - i.e. no new software or upgrades
I found a suggestion on your site to turn off the MP3 player and disconnect from port - then while holding down the volume button I reconnected it and continued to hold down the button for about 50 seconds. It may not be what fixed it but the computer recognized the player as new hardware and I was able to go to the Media Player and syn - the next time I booted up my computer the little "found new hardware" icon appeared - and kept appearing until the noise drove me crazy - but I restarted the computer and it went away. Thanks!
