Heat pump compressor/fan/air handler runs heat for 30 secs, then all stop. (Trane XR 11 HP w/honeywell T8411R thermostat). Capacitor good, new 5-2-1 hard-start kit added but didn't solve problem.

Sounds like low pressure. Are you losing low voltage to condenser? Backup heat not working likely due to a setting error or possibly a wiring issue.

I have A LCD Honeywell thermostat that has a display that is blank. also it is not sending anything to my furnace. there for my main level in my house is very cold. I have the same one up stairs and it is...

Replace the batteries first. Some cheap thermostats require the batteries to function. I don't know of a honeywell model that does though. Its cheap, so do that first.

If still nothing comes on and you still have a blank display with new batteries, I'd say probably the thermostat is defective. Even if the furnace is broken, new batteries SHOULD bring up the display.

I am replacing an T8411R with RTHL3550 and I have the following wires. Original vs New G=G,R=R,Y=Y,O=O......? I have a W2 and an E wire that go into different screws on original but no seperate terminal...

C is actually a power wire; it provides power for some programmable thermostats. You don't have to connect it on the new thermostat; cover the end with electrical tape to avoid it causing a short. (If you keep that wire accessible, it will be nice for someone who wants to use another programmable thermostat. The ones which can talk to wireless networks require this wire.)

Do you have a heat pump? That is the only time a thermostat uses an E wire.

The W2 wire should go to AUX (third screw terminal from the left) and the E wire should go to E (second screw terminal from the left). See page 25 (27 on the pdf) of the Quick Installation manual for the RTHL3550. This manual is available from Honeywell at http://yourhome.honeywell.com/home/Products/Thermostats/Digital-Non-Programmable/RTHL3550D.htm .

I hope this helps.

Hooking up a new thermostat honeywell rth7600 from a honeywell t8411r. we hooked up the wires as shown in the installation manual- we have fan but no cold air blowing out or it feels like the heat is...

apparently who ever did the wiring installation did not use the Proper color coding when they did the install. Now you must trace the wiring to the appliance and wire accordingly.

Where can I find a replacement for Honeywell T8411R thermostat?

The first thing to do is to look at what color wiring you have on the thermostat.

Most all thermostats can replace one another. You will most likely have to refer to the instruction manual on the new one to see where the wires go.

Best advice is to take detailed pictures of what you are currently using. Refer to the new thermostat instructions for how the wiring should go based on which ones you have available. Remember it will take up to 15 minutes for the A/C or heating to work with the new unit.

Also be sure to note if you have any little junctions between two wires to loop them. I had that on my old unit. Then I ran into a problem with the new unit, switched back as I was trying to figure it out and couldn't get the old one to work until I found a piece on the floor and added it back.

Honeywell T8411R 1028No power to the thermostat; breakers are not

site shows this thermostat is a non programmable unit and has been discontinued. none of the info sheets including a pdf shows a replacement battery. this thermostat operates off line voltage only. check for a control fuse or breaker on your heating unit.

My honeywell theromstat keeps displaying repl bat

Have you checked to make sure the batteries are, in fact, good and that they are facing the right way? If so, it's time for a new thermostat.

I have a blinking snowflake icon on my air conditioner, my air will not work. My heater will work fine but the air will not come on

When the snowflake is blinking the thermostat in in a delay mode designed to protect your compressor. If it does not stop blinking in 15min the stat is bad otherwise something is wrong with the AC
