At RadioShack.com we want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase. If you are not satisfied with a purchase, you may return most items within 30 days from date of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price, minus shipping, handling or other additional charges.
Have you tried contacting the manufacturer's customer service? You really don't want to try taking the casing apart, unless you're experienced, you might never get it back together. If it was me, if it's just a month old, you should hurry and take it and the packaging and receipt back to walmart. Tell them you either want a new one or your money back. Immediately. Here's what their web page says about their return policy
"Returns Policy by Department
Most items can be returned within 90 days of when you receive them. Items purchased on Walmart.com may be returned either to a store or by mail, unless stated otherwise in the list of exceptions below. See the departments below to find out if there are exceptions to the 90-day rule and for instructions on how to return certain types of items.
Items must be returned in the original manufacturer's packaging, so we recommend you keep your packaging for at least the first 90 days after purchase."
Good luck and be assertive.
