Usually these are blocked at the discharge end under the sink, especially if the hose is hooked to a copper pipe then shoved down the plumbing standpipe. It could also be in the hose behind the dishwasher if someone has fitted an extension onto the hose and used a small diameter coupler. Run the dishwasher on any cycle...if there is standing water you should hear the drain pump run first...if there is no standing water run it on a rinse and hold cycle. at the end of the cycle the pump will run. if you hear the pump, but no water is ejected out the drain hose under the sink, then you most likely have a clog in the hose near the end or in the middle if it has an extensio. if you dont hear the pump run, then its a bad pump and you need a new one (parts like that are covered for 5 years if you use an ASKO servicer) Good luck!

Thanks guys. I managed to fix the problem. The drain hose was not raised high enough when installed. I just put it higher and no problems for over a month.

The problem could also be that it needs to be set to time fill instead of sensor fill

Buy a different dishwasher. These things suck. Can't clean anything. Acts like a fussy swede. Maybe I should eat more pickled herring. It's quiet, because it doesn't clean anything. I've rinsed everything, and it still does a piss poor job. I've had nothing but problems. Kitchenaid, here I come.

Asko fifteen eighty five dishwasher completes cycle, but the drain cup area still has water in it.

The drain cup normally has water in it after it drains. The pump runs it empty, but when it stops, some water runs back down from the drain hose, which you see in the drain cup. If there is water in the bottom of the tub, you may be having some siphoning coming back after draining. Check to make sure the drain hose has been routed up to the bottom of the countertop as per the installation instructions. That's what prevents siphoning, and its very important so it doesn't suck sewer water back in with the clean dishes!!

What will be the problem if i found water on the top of the pistons

If there is water on top of pistons then you have a leaking hard gasket one fix is drain all coolant out and fill with block sealer follow instructions on bottle after done drain out and refill with new coolant. See with head gasket coolant can leak in oil or pistons but if still have water on top of pistons there could be a more serious problem such as a cracked engine block.

I am getting the error U3 coming up with a red light and the cycle stops at that point. I am not sure of the dishdrawer model number and have been through a number of the user manuels but cannot find the...

There are a few reasons for U3 to appear.

One that is most common is due to water not filling in time before the wash cycle commences. This can be due to water pressure setting not being consistent with the mains water pressure. Check this by confirming if you are in low water pressure or normal pressure area. The dishwasher should be set at LP or HP accordingly. Refer to the manual for the procedure.

What does the IE error code mean? The washer wont drain.

The IE fault code indicates that your washer is not filling properly with water This error code is displayed if the washer is not fully drained within 10 minutes. I will give you troubleshooting tips for both the fill problem and the drain problem.

To troubleshoot a drain problem, follow these steps:

  • Follow the steps on page 17 of your owner's manual to clean the drain pump filter. If you do not have your owner's manual, you can access it on our Manage My Home website.
  • Check your drain hose for kinks or clogs.
  • Make sure that the drain hose is properly installed according to the installation instructions for your washer.

Here are some troubleshooting steps for the filling problem:

  • Make sure that the water valves behind your washer are fully open.
  • Check the filter screens on the inlet valves where your fill hoses connect to the back of the washer. If debris is clogging the screens, remove the screens and thoroughly clean them. Flush the inlet openings thoroughly with water to prevent debris from entering the washer and corrupting the inlet water valves.
  • A drain installation problem can cause siphoning of washer fill water. Make sure that the drain hose is properly installed per the installation guidelines for your washer.

Our Asko D3250 dishwasher is brand new, and it fills up and drains and fills again and then the water inlet fault flashes. It doesn't go past this point.

this sounds like a improper install ! ck to see if the drain hose outlet is lower than bottm of tank. it should drain to the disposal . and have a drain loop under sink .. the dw prosser is sensing that the drain is longer in time so it flasher inlet fault . . elevate the drain and try again ..if it drains to a lower use a stand pipe or a siphon brake . in the install .. mm

My front load Kenmore washer has a f03 code on the screen. It is not draining the water and it is not doing a max spin. What do you think I need to do?

F03 error code means that there is either fill problem, a drain problem or a water level pressure switch failure .

First ensure the machine is filling.
When the drain system is causing the F03 error do the following.

Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged.

If the drain hose is OK check the drain pump.

Start unplugging washer from main and remove the service panel at the bottom.

Follow the instructions on manual to remove panel.

Access the water pump and remove the hoses, clear any blockage in there.

Use a container to collect the water, be prepared. If machine has lot of water inside, remove some water with a sponge before undoing the pump.

Model 601V2 dishdraw showing U3 error message

I have had my Fisher Paykel dishdrawer for 8 years and it has never completely worked. I would get a U3 code on the top drawer intermittently. I have had my drains rerouted twice, LP - HP reset, service men replace the back flow flap and mother boards without luck... until I was able to get my hands on the service manual. Turns out the solution is quite easy. If you have a problem with the U3 code it means the drawer is not draining appropriately, The washer only gives a preprogrammed 60 sec to drain the drawer. So if your drawer is overfilled, it will think it has a drain problem. The following is taken from the service manual...

"U3 - Time to fill was too short, indicating water was still in the tub.
Possible Causes:
· Drain pump is blocked.
· Drain hose is blocked.
· Sprayarm or rotor not turning
· Motor electronics have failed.
· Machine set to 'LP' on a high
pressure water supply.

The tub fills with approximately 2.2 litres of water, level with the base of the spray arm attachment. Once this level is reached, the wash pump (which has sensed the fill at 30 second intervals during the fill), becomes primed and pumps the water through the spray arm which will then rotate.
The water level is monitored by sensing the motor load through the electronics."

The solution is to turn your water supply valve part of the way on to limit the gpm flow to the drawer. This way, the drawer will not have over-filled in the 30 sec it took to sense the motor load. I have tried it and wow no more U3. Hope it makes sense and hope it works for you.

Overfill protection tripping

Is there water in the drip pan? My asko developed a leaky inlet solenoid, which would fill the drip pan eventually causing a failure. If the water evaporated, the washer would run. Normally, there should be no water in the drip pan.
