I don't have a lot of experience with canon but usually you will have to tell the copier the gateway address, the DNS server, the smtp server, and (depending on the internet service provider) the smtp authentication which is usually the email address and password from the ISP. Go to your web browser type in the machines ip address and go to add. functions , common settings, under e-mail/fax you will find this setting.

on back side of the copier are small black switch, it is protective fuse. Try to put him back ON.
If these doesn't helps you have power supply problem....

Your exchange email server must be programmed into the copier with a username and password under network settings, which is an administrative function.
