PROBABLY THE WALL CONTROL SWITCH IS BAD.
ASK YOUR LOCAL DEALER TO BORROW ONE HE HAS IN STOCK. AND OR BUY BOTH THE RECEIVER AND THE SENDER. MY WALL SWITCH MALFUNCTIONED.

I have a newer Minka w/ wall controller. The books says to make sure both the wall control and the receiver(up in the fan) are both programmed the same. My receiver has no little switches but has a sticker stating that you need to hold the 'fan off' button down for 3 seconds after turning on the power so the receiver can memorize the program in the wall switch. You have 60 sec to do this after power is turned on. Good luck !

The red and white should be hot all the time for the fan to run even when the light is not in use. The black and white wires are used for the switch on the wall to turn the light on. Hope this helps.

Minka fan are life time warrantied, have you tried contacting customer service... Minka fans motors have a very simply design... uninstall the fan... try balancing the fan on a table or some where that allows you to remove the shell that covers the main body of the fan... Carefully (someone that is very familiar with the electrical components.) soft wire the fan allowing you to see the motor as the blades turn... You will then see what is making the scraping noise... I may have some extra fan parts that you can easily replace... If you like to write me at payitforwardx2 @ gmail . com I am willing to try to further assist you...

I found the Manual to the F603 in pdf format at: http://minkagroup.net/Admin/UploadFiles/F603-English.pdf It describes how to put bulbs in so it was simply a matter of reversing the instructions to get the old ones out. However, it is not that easy to get the bottom section off so one has to be careful or you will twist the whole unit instead of just the bottom part..... I think what you did was push up too hard and then turn the whole unit. Try pushing up firmly but at the same time hold some fingers (or have someone help in this) on top of the bowl above the fan blades and then twist counterclockwise an inch or two and the bottom part will release (don't let it fall). Then you have easy access to the bulbs. Good luck.
