Question about Hitachi 18V Lithium Ion Cordless Drill/Driver Kit DS18DL
After a few seconds under the load of inserting a screw the motor quits. Nothing happens if the trigger is pressed. After a few more seconds the drill will start again but will quit again. This goes on and on until the screw is seated.
Sounds like your battery is either shorted out or out of charge

Automatic circuit breaker is protecting the tool or the battery. If it happens on both batteries then the tool should be returned under 10 year warranty. If on one battery then that battery is bad - 2 year warranty on Lithium battery.
