Once it starts it prints all labels in the job continuously. Tried 3 different E-4205 printers. However E-4203 works fine with same print job. Is there a setting that I'm missing?

Ended up being the heating settings - they were to low, so when I hit print...it would spit out a label but nothing would be on it.
Problem solved!

You need to calibrate the printer using the instructions located in the
manual. This should be in area 5.2 of the manual. If you don't have the
manual you can download them at this address along with software
updates and firmware updates.

Label printers are always finicky. I have strtix printers where I work and they give off wacky errors too.

try using a seagull sceintific driver.
also if you are sending graphics (barcode) instead of an actual barcode decoded font, the printer will process as a graphic.
If serial, speed up to max, if parallel it should print quite fast

Check to see that the label sensor is over the gap in the label. It is just under the head on the right hand side.
You might also have the unit configured incorectly. If you go to the Datamax site, you can download the printer config program, It is easier to use than trying to push the buttons in the correct order to configure the printer.
Also use at least a 6" long label, and print the config file to see if you are set correctly for gap mode if using die cut stock.
