Error is on the energysaver when the water heater starts??? LPG or NAT Gas??

That is a code which your owner's manual will assist you in finding. Usually 12 is ignition failure, such as no flame reading from the sensor, or lack of fuel. If the unit isn't grounded properly, it won't verify flame properly. Could be caused by a dirty flame rod, faulty gas valve or no fuel to unit.
