Hi, If all else fails, try do a hard reset. You can verify from your manual, but in some units, this is merely unplugging the unit from mains for a couple of hours. Try again, if it still shows error codes (blinking lights) you probably have to seek the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: Sony Bravia KDL-40V300 won't turn on.

Unfortunately 5 blinks is a LCD panel error. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD panel. This is the most expensive part in the TV.
part number: 1-802-488-12
List price: $1336.32
Core charge: 1790.00
You could try to replace it yourself but would need to take the whole TV apart by first taking off the back cover, then removing all the boards in order to get to the panel before putting it back together but I would just recommend buying a new TV as the price of the repair exceeds the price of a new TV of the same size.

SOURCE: Sony KDL-52XBR9 power/standby LED blinking. TV

This is either your LCD backlight, inverter/power board or both. Neither of which are serviceable by the consumer, unless a visual inspection of the power board shows swollen or ruptured capacitors. This you can do yourself and is the most likely problem. Just read the side of the capacitor and go to radio shack, or online to find the right replacement capacitor. When re soldering be sure your negative and positive leads are in the correct holes.

Sometimes one button on your pad gets stuck. Sometimes we get liquids on the pad. I suggest taking out the battery(s) and using high grade alcohol (90%) and swabbing the pad real good and let dry or use hair dryer. Is this a factory remote?

The standby mode is not working tv will not go on

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time.

Sony Bravia KDL-55nx720 My tv is stuck in standby mode. Blinking twice.. Would replacing the power supply possibly fix this problem? Please help.

Normally yes. Blinking twice is power protection trip. Look first for open resistor, broken fuses (and short circuits or broken transistors / ICS if thats the case).

Bad power supply?

First of all, please ensure that the power outlet is ok. During such power surges, normally the power outlet gets affected. Try the TV on a different power outlet. The relay clicking on/off could be due to some components short in the primary supply.

Kdl32l5000 no power

Sony 32L5000 Power supply not likely gone bad unless the fuse blow. If there is a click sound and vold meter read 3.3v (standby) on the far top right terminal mean you power supply still good. If no led light on the front that is the bad main board (board with tuner box and RCA, hdmi plug) My replace and work like a charm.

The same thing happened to me. I went to Menu. Click the bottom item and when it opens, click on ECO. Now turn off both Power Saving and Idle TV Standby. It is mostly caused by the Idle TV Standby, though. Good luck!
