Check the color of the pluggie that goes into the back of your monitor, it is most likely either blue or white. Find a friend who has the same color plug and borrow their monitor for a few minutes. If theirs works; your monitor has **** out. If theirs does not work then your video card (on-board or add-on card) has **** out and you'll have to have a new card added to your system.

When I turn the monitor on it has a red green blue screen

It would appear that the monitor is not getting a signal from the computer. You should try to power down the monitor and remove the power plug and let it cycle. Also, check the VGA cable connections to make sure they are connected properly.
If this does not cause any change, you can try to connect it to a different computer and/or connect another monitor to the computer you are using this Gateway monitor on if you can do that.

Let's start see if we can get this problem solved.

Where is the headphone jack for the gateway EV730

You have to connect your headphones at the line out of the audio card at your desktop. It's the green jack with 3.5mm diameter at the back of your case. If the place that you have the desktop is not conventional for plug and unplug the headphones, I suggest you using an extender like this one. In case you use a speaker set there must be a headphones output either on one of the speakers or at the control unit.

GATEWAY 2275 LCD MONITOR WENT OUT, WHEN PLUGGED

This could be due to a bad power supply inside the monitor witch is replaceable for like $25 bucks all you got to do is unscrew off the back undo a few cables and put in the new supply.

I hope this helps you in the repaire process if its under warrenty please seek warrenty guidlines.

You dont need to install a driver for the monitor. The power save mode message appears when the monitor is not able to get a signal from the computer. Make sure the the vga/blue cable is securely plugged to the back of the pc.

note: Inspect the back of your studio. You may have two blue ports where you can connect the monitor, if you do, connect the monitor to the one at the bottom half of the computer.

Desk top computer crt monitor

Time to buy a new monitor, especially if you are still running a CRT monitor.

There is nothing you can do without taking the monitor to a repair shop, and that would cost more than the value of the monitor.

Monitor went blank

Let's try to isolate the problem:

-If possible try both monitors on a different computer.

-does the computer makes any sound when you turn it on?... do you get any image at all when you turn it on?

Monitor is busted!

If your pc works on another monitor. I would recommend you buy a new LCD monitor or a used CRT.

The best solution if your computer works is to buy a LCD screen, I've thrown out my 17" crt screens they aren't worth anything these days. You can get a used crt from ebay

Over here where I live I bought a used crt for 25usd thats was over a year ago.

Theres really no point in trying to repair the screen if its broken, buy a working one or a brand new lcd.

Good luck.
