Question about Computers & Internet

When turning monitor stays in the "E" for at least 10 -15 min.

I had moved my computer to another room and had unplugged all connections to do so. After reconnecting everything, everytime the computer is turned on it displays the Bios & Boot Menu screen. The monitor also tells me to check settings. It stays in this mode for about 10 - 15 minutes.

Are you using an onboard vid card or addon? If so be sure you are plugging it into the same spot, also if your bios did a reset(can happen with an old cmos battery) then it may default to the onboard video which you would have to change in the bios settings.

You can do a system restore which will set the computer back to previous settings. If it is not allowing you access at all, It may be loose video card.
Are you able to access your control panel?

It may just be the cable, or the connector that attaches to the monitor or pc.
This monitor also had a similar problem, it was connected with a dvi to vga adaptor on another computer. I plugged it straight into the vga socket on this computer and it works fine.
If that is no help, you may need a new monitor

Dell Computer Monitor - Black Screen

If it worked on a computer at the IT person, it is most likely a faulty graphics card in your computer. You may want to get that checked out.

Make sure you don't have two video cards on your machine and have plugged into the wrong one.
Failing that, open the case and make sure the card is plugged firmly in its slot (do this with the power off).

Monitor has no picture

Yes! :)

Your monitor is not the problem. Check all the connections from the back of the monitor, to the computer.

"No Signal Analog" means your monitor is working perfectly, however is not receiving signal from the computer.

Didnt find any loose cables?
Try unplugging everything. Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes. You need to give the system time to drain all the excess power.

Again your monitor is fine, blue light > No signal > orange light is totally normal for your montior.
