Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your copier and will help to clear error codes.

1. Turn the power off.
2. Locate the Clear Button, which is grey in color, in the upper right corner above the green Start Button.
3. Locate the Auto Button the lower left corner of the Control Panel.
4. Turn the power back on.
5. Press the buttons in the following sequence, releasing each button after each time you press it: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto]. Every light on the Control Panel should go out, and the error code should clear.
6. If the error code has not cleared, wait a few seconds then repeat Steps 1 through 5.
7. Program the copier as if you were going to make 14 copies.
8. Press the green [Start] button to store the reset code. The copier will return to the ready position.
9. Run a test copy.

Are the paper tray settings correct? If you have the tray mis adjusted, such as the tray thinks it has 14 inch paper in it and it has 11 inch, it will just shut down like that.
Make sure the settings are correct on the computer and the printer.
Also, its unlikely but the latch for the load springs in the fuser may be unlatched, but you shold NOT be able to close the covers like that.

All you have to do is open the fuser unit on the end (2 Screws) and you will find a fuse which has 3 strips (in a plastic casing with wires attached). You must the solder the strips so that they are joined, and that should reset the fuser.

First unplug the machine.
Open the right side door. there are four screws to remove. Unplug the two plugs to it.
Pull out the fuser modual.
Insert the new fuser modual, and release or flip the green jam tabs.
When put on the four screews make sure not to over tighten, just a gentle snug is needed.
Close the door, pug machine, and turn it on.
If the fuser fan is not working, this can cause the fuser to over heat again. Make sure the fan is truning by viewing it from the back.
