I punctured a condenser pipe and the coolant leaked out. can this be repaired or will i need to replace?

I would recommend buying some JB weld or JB underwater weld for $5 It comes in a tube, place it over the whole and let it dry for a day.
If you have no freon left in the system, it may need to junked. Unless you feel like taking it to a repair clinic and having it charged.

Fiat punto radiator coolant leaking


could be coolant pipe or radiator its shelf has been punctured, you'll need to locate the source if its a the radiator then your aswell to replace the radiator. if its one of the pipes the you may be able to patch the puncture with solution or rubber repair kit

Hi Us, There are a number of places where ATF can leak on the Toyota Auto box. If the leakage is from the cooling system but outside the radiator, it should be repairable. If it is leaking inside the radiator and mixing with the engine coolant, replace the radiator, or as times are hard, get a length of copper tubing and have it shaped into a 'Z' shape, connect the two rubber pipes from the gearbox to each end of it and make up suitable mountings for it to be placed in front of the condenser which is situated in front of the radiator. The cold air as you drive should cool the fluid sufficiently. Regards John

A/C coolant from condenser


First of all, refridgerant is a gas. All AC systems leak water due to the condensation from the ice cold pipes meeting the hot ambient temps. Look around at most other cars in parking lots, anyone using they're ac will have a puddle. Get other opinions before you act.

It could one of two things. If it is the heater core leaking the water would be coolant and have the distinctive smell of coolant and would be sweet to the taste if you touch a bit of it to the tongue. It could on the other hand be condensation from the AC condenser coil which is leaking into the cab because the drain port which is designed to lead the water out of the car, but due to a blockage, is letting it leak into the cab. If it is coolant, the heated core needs to be replaced. If it is clear water you need to trace the overflow pipe and clear the outlet blockage. My first option would be the core leaking.

I am writing to tell you about a new BREAKTHROUGH method for repairing a leaking Coolant Transfer Pipe in the BMW N62 V8 engine block using the BimmerFix Stint. The N62 V8 is a popular BMW engine that was used from 2002 thru 2010, in such fabulous vehicles as the BMW 735i, 740i, 745i, 750i & Li, 645Ci, 650i, 540i, 545i, 550i, and the X5 SUV.


Located deep inside of this BMW N62 engine is a Coolant Transfer Pipe, which carries antifreeze from the Water Pump to cooling chambers within the engine. However, the Front Seal on this Cooling Tube can fail in as little as 40,000 miles, and start leaking antifreeze from the engine block, through a weep hole in the Timing Chain Cover. When this happens, the car will lose antifreeze from the engine, and the engine will overheat.


In the past, this has been a very expensive repair because it required disassembly of the engine, in order to access the leaking Cooling Pipe Seal. The original method of replacing the crossover Coolant Transfer Pipe required the removal of the Timing Chain Cover. This repair could cost $6,000 or more at the BMW Dealer.


Then, an after-market Collapsible Coolant Pipe was developed to save time and money on this repair. This Collapsible Coolant Pipe method involves removing the Intake Manifold, cutting out the old Coolant Pipe and installing the after-market Collapsible Coolant Pipe. But even this method required many hours of shop labor and expensive parts and supplies. The repair bill for this method can still cost between $1,500.00 and $2,500.00 to remove the Intake Manifold, cut out the old Coolant Pipe and install the new Collapsible Coolant Pipe.

How do I replace a radiator on a 2002 maxima


Nissan Car 350Z & Maxima 1999-06 Radiator - Removal & Installation

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:
    Negative battery cable Coolant reservoir tank and bracket Upper mounting bracket Upper radiator hose Oil cooler lines, if equipped Lower radiator hose Cooling fan and condenser fan Fan motors and shields Radiator

To install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    Radiator Fan motors and shields Cooling and condenser fans and torque the bolts to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm) Lower radiator hose Oil cooler lines, if equipped Upper radiator hose Upper mounting bracket Coolant reservoir tank and bracket and torque the bolt to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm) Negative battery cable
  2. Fill the cooling system to the proper level.
  3. Start the vehicle, check for leaks and repair if necessary.
WARNING Do not remove radiator cap when engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high-pressure engine coolant escaping from radiator. Wrap a thick cloth around the cap. Slowly turn it a quarter of a turn to release built-up pressure. Carefully remove radiator cap by turning it all the way.

  4. Remove the radiator by performing the following:
    CAUTION Lifting A/C condenser should be minimum to prevent a load to A/C piping.
    With lifting and pulling radiator in a rear direction, disassemble lower mount from radiator core support center. Lift A/C condenser up and remove radiator after disengaging the fitting as front-bottom surface After removing radiator, put A/C condenser on radiator core support center to prevent a load to A/C piping, and temporarily fix it with rope or similar means

To install:
  1. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  2. Check radiator cap for any leaks.
  3. Start and warm up engine. Check for engine coolant leaks and A/T fluid leaks.

White smoke coming from tail pipe with water when idled


When you first start an engine when it is cold, it is mormal the exhaust pipe will emit water vapor (white steam) and water until the engine reaches running temperature.
If this problem occurs when the engine is hot and been running a while then you could have a head gasket problem, especially if you have to top up the water in the radiator frequently.
You need to get a mechanic to do a compression test on each cylinder to determine the exact problem with the engine.

Bmw 745i 2003 water leaks out from front of motor and it's not the water pump or any hoses , I changed water pump and gaskets. the water flows out as soon as I fill tank,it's behind the crank pully


I had this same problem in my 02 745i... It's leaking from the internal coolant pipe... a $.05 rubber ring is going to cost you 3-5k easily.

I have coolant leaking, but it seems to be going into my battery compartment


Internal heater or its pipes (more likely considering its age) are punctured. Do not  bother to try to fix them, replace them directly.
