SOURCE: About battery door broken in Kodak CX7330

I purchased a replacement door from U.S. Camera for a total of $16.20 (this includes shipping). I just need to know how to take the old cover off and put the new one on. My other option is to take it to a local camera shop and have them change the covers for me.

Mine started to crack in half the first week I had it. I put two layers of duck-tape on it, and it's held for over a year.

SOURCE: download images to pc from digital camera

Install the software that came on the CD with your new camera. There should be a photo management software that will help you do this. Or you can download it from here:

1. Plug in the camera to the PC and ensure it is detected by the PC(Install thedrivers first).
2. Right click START button and select Explore.
3. From the left panel, scroll to the drive corresponding to your camera. (Itwill usually be located after the last DVD/CD ROM Drive letter.
4. Click on that drive to expand the folders in the right pane.
5. Search for the relevant pictures from a folder within that drive.
6. Copy the required pics (Hold CTRL and click on pics in case you want toselect more than one pic). Then rightt click and select "COPY"
7. Once you copied all the needed pics, select a folder on your computer (orcreate a new one) and paste the pics into this folder.
8. You're done :)

Battery Door broken

You might have put camera with some duct tape and a paper clip and fixed that battery door yourself. Not good as new, but functional. As long as you hold a glimmer of hope and are standing on principle, you'll probably not even try.

Or they could have just replaced the battery door (probably cost about 20.00 and I would have probably purchased about $3,000 worth of stereo equipment from them) but they can not see past the fact of CANT DO.

Oh, by the way, the door falling off. That is covered under the warranty.

Hope that helps.......

Battery door latch broken

Unfortunately HP will not sell you a camera battery door. If you can find another camera that is broken with a good battery door you may have a chance.

To repair/transfer the new battery door, you will have to use a small jewerly store screw driver that you can buy at the dollar store and use it to push the door hinge bar to one side of the camera.

Then, pull the door hinge out but be careful not to lose the tiny spring that is installed in between the hinges. ( Make sure that you know and understand how to put it back the same way.) You can then pull the battery door from the camera.

Do the same thing to good camera. Practice on the broken camera first. The second time it should go easier for you. When you install the new battery door, push the hinge bar in all the way to one side of the camera. Hold the door to give you the proper alignment and then use the small screw driver to pry the hindge bar from the one side to make sure that it is equally in each of the black hinge connectors.

This worked for me. I was fortunate enough to find someone who had a broken HP MZ67 digital camera that had a "good" battery door. It took me about 30 minutes to complete the job. I hope this will help you. You can email me if you need more advice. I am a computer tech.

The camera will work with the charger cord plugged in, but you are limited to taking photos only near a power source. I have the same issue; broken battery door...Still looking for another hard broke 850 to take parts off of.
