Food in bottom of refridgerator is freezing

If that is the case you will have set the temperature in that compartment of the fridge too low. Adjust it little by little until the freezing problem is solved because the bottom of the unit will eventually not get to freezing point.

I have a fridge on top freezer on the bottom. The fridge is freezing food and the thermostat is only set to 4. How can i fix this? And does it have anything to do with how much is packed into the...

No it does not have a thing to do with what is in it, as long as you close the door without needing a running start you cant push too much in it. The thermostat that controls the actual temp in BOTH freezer and fresh food is in the freezer adjust it to a higher setting, the t-stat in fresh food controls amont of air flow but not the tempature.

Also if ya have not done it in a while remove the grill below the freezer and clean the dust from there so it can breath easier

The food in the refrigerator section freezes. we have lowered the temp control slide to the very bottom but still the food is freezing. Sherri Eley

perhaps try using the adjustment the opposite way -- to be sure you are not going cooler, instead of warmer for your adjustment?

2 year old Kenmore side by side refrigerator is too warm

the freezer feeds the refridgerator with cold air, when you open the freezer door,do you hear the fan blowing,if not you need to change the evap fan motor, next take out the second from bottom food bin and touch back wall,if you feel snow or ice you have a defrost problem, you'll have to take off back wall, advance the timer till it clicks into defrost and see if the heater comes on,if so you have a bad timer,if not read out the t-stat and the heater,if there are plug in wires on t-stat unplug them and bypass the t-stat by plugging t-stat wire to heater if heater comes on change t-stat,leave the heater on to help you defrost the ice off of evap coil and use hair dryer to melt ice, hope that helps

Food freezing in refrigerator storage bins

produce has more water in it to freeze. Try turning down the temp in the fridge part of the unit you may try putting a termometer in there to gauge where it should be adjusted to, about 38-41 degrees is a safe temp for keeping food.

Food in bottom drawer of fridge freezes. what is the problem?

Try adjusting the food compartment temp. There are many possible reasons that will cause this. Look for exact model number located inside food compartment bottom door when opened. For example 91.802574 This will give us the exact diagram to work with to help you solve this. Below is a link with Q&A that you also can use to resolve this problem.
