Question about Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera

Canon Rebel XSi seizing up?

I dont know how to describe this techy-wise. My problem is when I am taking a picture with or without the flash, in any lighting, doesnt matter what image i am focusing on or setting, sometimes after I autofocus and go to snap the picture, as I'm looking through the focus screen it gets dark, like someone put sunglasses over my lense for a second. If I reclick the button to take the picture it still takes a decent picture, but it sounds like something is stuck for that split second. There is no consistency to this. Sometimes I can go a week and not have it happen and then other times it can occur a few times throughout the day. I also hear a bit of clicking noise as that happens. Is this normal or do I have somekind of shutter problem?

In order to have your "External" flash work on your Rebel XSI, you need to go into the menu and turn on the external flash function. If you dont know how to enter into the menu mode, refer to your operating manual.

Have Canon EOS Rebel Xsi Digital. Burning smell and flash busy.

Are you trying to use the flash when you are having the problem? Were you taking a lot of pictures with flash when the problem started? Rapid pictures with flash can melt the flash and capacitors in the camera. Also, a single drop of water rolling around inside the camera in the right place can do things like that. You can try taking pictures in bright sunlight so the camera will not try to use the flash and see if it will work normally, If it does than something is probably fried in the flash system. Bad thing is that if you smelled smoke something is most likely already fried and will have to be repaired by canon. Canons quality has been going down hill for several years now and they have a lot of quality problems. If the camera has been used very little, has never been abused, dropped or wet and not far out of warranty, try using google to see if this is a common problem and call canon and try to get them to repair it for free. If all else fails threaten to replace it with a Nikon assume pay to have barely used camera fixed.

Flash won't open on Canon Rebel XSi? It has been working fine but yesterday I went to take a picture and the flash wouldn't open. It won't open on any setting and it won't open if I push the manual flash...

The openning flash button only works on non automatic shooting modes.
On creative zone (automatic options with predefined options) the flash will rise automatically, based on the current exposure conditions. On "Flash Off" mode won't rise the flash ever.
Let me know, please if it solve the problem

Taking Pictures of a Sunrise or Sunset

I would say that the iPhone is definitely the best device that we can use to buy an iPhone. The latest version of these phones provide excess;; lent picture clarity as well. So I would definitely recommend you to try it out to capture the most beautiful moments of sunrise and sunset in this phone. I believe that both the sunrise an sunset are beautiful to see, and are two wonders that keep happening everyday as well.
