Kilometers to miles

Multiply kilometers by .6 example '100 kilometers is 60 miles. I always figure so many kilometers and multiply by .6.
If you go 30 kilometers and want miles you figure 30 times .6 equals 18 miles.
Hope this helps.

What is the rate per kilometer?

Hello Pieter Crous,

Since this half thought is posted against "cars & trucks"
(free service ...
(no charge for making the question clear/complete)).

One could probably assume YOUR QUESTION has to do with another relevant factor (typically associated with the physics: inside the general area of a "kilometer"... vehicular... ET AL)...

Fixya is a USA site so we use a "mile factor of 0.62137119
to equate MILES to kilometers when we need to do so...
(not often).

I did go back to your history...
Sadly found no other clues for your riddle...

Bugs in teeth in a kilometer for example: would require
additional vehicular detail.

Is a wind-screen equipped and in use?

Likewise tire consumption inside a kilometer... could only be determined by taking physical factors like tire (tyre) size, surface, incline... weight, surface, slope... type of tire and of course speed.

Principle in the requisite detail would be MAKE, MODEL & YEAR... NONE of which came through with your question...

After that would be how & where the vehicle is being used... engine & transmission equipage...?

I have a vehicle which have moved for 2383 kilo meters and used 320 liters of diesel what should be the consumption rate

school work you should solve by yourself... not by fixya...

you have following data:
v = volume = 320liters
d = distance = 2383km (kilometers is a single word...)

there is several formula to solve this mathematical problem, if you want how many liters per 100km formula is as follows:
(v/d) x 100 = 100km/ltr just substitute your data

if you hear then that vehicle is using 7.5ltr/100km that was the formula. unfortunately - you need to calculate your own data, this was just an example...

another variation is distance per liter, there is formula:
d/v = distance (kilometers) per liter

if you hear that car is driving 11km/ltr - that is again, and example, you need to calculate your own data...

enjoy! and vote...

If you're looking for the date the belt has been changed it will be written down somewhere in the engine bay usually on the belt case or even the radiator if it has been done at all.
it is usually written as the kilometers done at the time of the replacement. Example: TB 123000
its typical To have it replaced at every 150000 kilometers depending on make, fuel and what it's used for but most of the time people let it go to 250000 kilometers at this stage you're running the risk of breaking the timing belt and this will almost certainly lead to addition damage to the engine. So it pays to get it done sooner than later. While you are at it you should replace the water pump and thermostat because you need to replace the seals when reinstalling so the cost and hours work out in your favor.
you should be able to find a workshop manual for your Holden, when searching look for (workshop manual library ) then narrow down your search from there.
Good luck

A Tachymeter helps you estimate the speed you are going.

It uses the basic formula that speed = Distance/time

Here is how to use it: (For the full article see the link below)

To use tachymeter, simply start the chronograph or stopwatch when the object measured passing the starting line. When the object reaches the next mile or kilometer marker, stop the chronograph or stopwatch. The point on the tachymeter scale that adjacent to the second hand of the watch indicating the speed (in miles per hour or kilometers per hour) of object traveling between the two points.

For example, we want to measure the average speed of a vehicle is moving. Start the chronometer or stopwatch function when the car passes the starting line, and stop the timer after the vehicle traveled exactly 1 mile or 1 kilometer. Then look at where the chronometer hand (the second hand of the watch) is pointing to, and get the reading or value of the corresponding number at the tachymeter bezel or dial. Let's say the stopwatch stop at 3 o'clock position, meaning 15 seconds had elapsed for the car to travel 1 mile or 1 kilometer. At 3 o'clock position, the tachymetre value shows that number of 240, which means the average speed of the vehicle was 240 mph or km/h.
