Help! I have a Pfaff Hobbymatic 807 that my mother in law owned. I can not for the life of me find a way to reduce the pressure on the sewing foot. Sewing cotton over fleece

If your machine does not have a pressure regulator (and some machines do not), you can make sewing thicker projects easier by using a walking foot. If you are sewing a quilt (two or more pieces of fabric and batting), a walking foot would be the preferred presser foot. Even reducing the pressure will not be enough.

I need to reduce the pressure on the sewing foot and can't find any reference. Pfaff 807. I am sewing cotton over polar fleece and need less pressure

The manual may be helpful:

FWIW, there isn't an obvious pressure adjustment. It could be hidden under the case, but you may not wish to risk damage to your machine. A walking foot would probably be the best solution to your issue.

Can the presser foot be raised slightly on pfaff tiptronic 2030 to facilitate free motion quilting? There is not enough clearance with feed dogs down to freely move material to quilt. Thank you.

You need a special foot for free motion quilting--it is slightly shorter in height than a regular presser foot, which essentially provides space between the presser foot and the needle plate to manually move the fabric. Sometimes machines came with a standard darning foot accessory. Your Pfaff dealer probably has at least one style in stock. But there are other specialty feet you can probably use, ie Big Foot, clear free motion foot, C-shaped, oval, etc. You can also purchase a shank adapter (verify it is the correct shank for your machine) and use it with a kit of snap-on presser feet so you can have a variety of presser feet for different functions.

Bar that sewng foot is attached to for raising & lowering suddenly will not drop sweing foot all the way down to plate. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Perhaps you accidently moved the switch that enables free hand embroidery? It's up and under next to the pressor foot lever. Slides forward and backward. Forward the pressor foot will go all the way down to the feed dogs. Slid back and it keeps the foot up off the feed dogs but allows the thread tension to work properly. It would be easy to accidently move it when operating the pressor foot raise/lower lever.

Pfaff 7550 pressure foot

The presser adjustment is usually above the presser foot near the top of the machine.

It can be a post on the top of the machine, a chrome screw on the top of the machine.

Check with your Pfaff dealer.

I use the walking foot for this technique...no puckers if the quilt is first basted.

Are pfaff 1475cd sewing feet compatible with pfaff 1151 machine

Hi. Some Pfaff machines have something called an "IDT" which looks rather like a small, black walking foot behind the pressure foot, to help feed the fabric evenly. Pfaff machines with this IDT need "IDT" pressure feet. (I can't find a listing of which machines have this and which don't, so you'll have to look at your machines or check your manuals.) If both machines have the IDT, then the feet are compatible. If neither has the IDT, then the feet are also compatible.

Hope this helps!

Happy Sewing,

Robbie
