Not cooling on 120 V0lts

My fridge works on propane but not 120 v. The heating element gets hot but i don't think hot enough.Is there something i am missing

NDR 1062, cools with gas but will not switch over to Ac . If i turn off lp, check light comes on and doesn't cool
