Sounds like you have a paper jam. Switch the power off; remove top from bottom bin; remove all paper which you can see coming out of the cutter blades. Usually just pulling on these will work. Once it looks clear, replace top section onto bin, switch on and observe if it works ok. If still has problem - repeat. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLEAR PAPER WITH THE MACHINE SWITCHED ON.

If you can hear the motor working but the paper won't pull in and shred then you broke a tooth on the plastic gear. This happens when you try to shred too much at one time. It happened to me but I couldn't find a plastic gear or the company to replace the gear. I liked the machine so I made my own tooth with DEVCON home plastic welder. With a little ingenuity and some tools you could try to fix it. Or like someone said buy a new shredder

SOURCE: Olympia Shredder Jammed and not working

likely a spacer has broken, if you can see the underside of the cutting heads you will see a spacer or two hanging out, If this is the case the heads will have to be bebuilt or replaced.

SOURCE: staples shredder Model: SPL-826X IT

Your problem is same as mine. I took the shredder apart and notice that the first dented wheel moved by the motor is stripped. I called the product support number and they said the manufacturer do not sale parts for this model. The shredder need to be send to them. At the end, it will probably cost more than buying a new one.
I am trying to find the part on the internet.

SOURCE: Fellowes W11C shredder is brand

Hello,
Did the shredder work at all? These shredders are only rated to run for 5 minutes at a time, then it needs to cool (this could take a 1/2 hour).
Troubleshooting tips:
• Make sure shredder is plugged in and switch is in automatic [I] position. • If paper appears to be jammed. Follow instructions under Operation. • Check shredder head position. Follow instructions under Set-Up. • Wait 20 minutes for shredder to cool down before trying again.
Hope this helps.

Where is the fuse in the fellowes w11c?

There probably isn't a fuse. Or it's a non-replaceable one.
They suggest you allow it to cool for 20 minutes, when it becomes overheated it's supposed to shut down. Then in the case of a paper jam, try reverse, if that doesn't work, try forward again.

My power shredder W11C stopped working forwards and backwards. The power source is O K

Dear Edward,
Most of the shredders have a micro switch that senses if the paper has been introduced to the shredding slot, or not
These micro switches are activated by a little arm/leveler that touches the paper and activates de contact inside the shredder housing.
While disconnected from the power, try to check if the switch is working properly. Check if you can hear a "click noise" while moving it back and forth by using a paper clip (or a toothpick). When this sensor arm is broken, the device will not operate since it does not detect the presence of a paper sheet to be shredded (and the power to hte motor is shut off).
If this does not solve your investigation process, please make sure your power cord is fine. Otherwise, it would be an internal electric problem in the device (obviously!!!)
One additional possibility (since I have no further details from you) is that the device is on and you can hear the motor running but the paper is not being pulled by the blades - in this case gears that move the shredder blades are most probably broken (that has happened to my shredder - and I had to dump it).
I hope this gives you some light in further investigating your problem.
Good luck!

Suddenly stopped. Power source is good.p Had been working ed. Does not go forward nor backward. Power source is goog.

It could be there is still some material in the cutting wheels. We have had this happen to our shredder a few times, do your best to get stuck materials free.

Good Luck

Only runs in reverse

I just had this problem with my shredder. I think the problem started with a bin that was full. Running the shredder in reverse resulted in shredded paper being pulled up into the slot used to feed paper into the shredder. Some of this shredded paper was blocking the little plastic tab that activates the switch when paper is inserted, so the shredder would no longer start when paper was inserted. I emptied the bin and removed the shredded paper from the feed slot, being careful not to break the plastic "sensor" while removing the paper from under it. The shredder works fine now.
