Why is my kodakhero 7.1 working as it should but then the paper comes out with no ink on it?

<p>Unexpected noise (such as clicking, thumping, or grinding) from an branded device are heard during printer operation.<br /> <br /> <span><b>NOTE: </b></span><br /> Noises can be caused by a number of things, some of which may not be addressed in this document. This document deals strictly with the isolation and potential resolution of known noises through troubleshooting.<br /> <p>The following table describes some of the noises to be expected in a printer functioning normally:<br /> <span>Noise occurs:</span> <br /> <span>Additional information:</span> <br /> During power-up<br /> When the printer periodically makes humming and buzzing sounds as the carriage assembly moves around on the right/left side of the printer, the printer is actually cleaning the ink cartridges. This is a normal operation for the printer. This sequence may happen in the following conditions:<br /><br /><br /> <ul> <li> <p>Before and/or after printing<br /> <li> <p>During power on <br /> <li> <p>After the printer has been on standby/idle for some time<br /> <li> <p>After replacing a cartridge<br /> <li> <p>In the middle of a long print job (such as printing many photos)<br /></li></ul> During printing*<br /> <ul> <li> <p>Paper pickup: There will be some noise during paper pickup due to the movement of rollers and gears.<br /> <li> <p>While printing: The unit has printed a few lines or the paper has been fed into the printing area. There will be some noise during printing due to the movement of rollers, gears, carriage and paper (paper feed and ejection).<br /></li></ul> During paper ejection*<br /> At the end of the print job, there is a louder clicking noise as the paper is being "pushed off" to the output tray.<br /> During copying/scanning<br /> The scanner may make pulsing and dragging noises as it scans portions of the document or it may make a long rolling sound if it is doing a continuous scan. After scanning, it will make a long dragging noise as the scanner is brought back to the home position (could be on the left or right side).<br /> Post-printing with no additional jobs in the queue<br /> Post-completion of a print job and without another job in queue: At the end of a print job, there will be a noise on the left/right side of the printer as the pens are being capped. The printer may try to do this a couple of times, which is normal.<br /> Between print jobs<br /> The printer may make humming and buzzing sounds as the carriage assembly moves around on the right/ left side of the printer during the cleaning of the ink cartridges.<br /> In the accessories<br /> There may be some noise associated with accessories (ADF, duplexer, etc.) during the initial positioning and during normal operation.<br />
