the button in the fob may be stuck connecting the circuit, remove the battery and reconnect if the alarm goes off again it could be because of this.

I have just purchased three First Alert carbon monoxide alarms. My home has a basement and bedrooms on the first and second floors. My questions stem from the installation. Should the installation...

When I worked Electrical in a Hardware store we were told by Nighthawk and f\First Alert and we told our customers that you want the detectors 4-6 feet off the floor never near a water heater or furnace since this can cause false alarms. The CO will rise, so one on each floor should be enough near a central stair if possible. Other wise make sure at least one is in the bedroom.

How do you disable the high water alarm and still have the pump work. I get to much water, it would run the alarm all the time and drive me crazy.

Before considering disabling the high water alarm, consider adjusting float that sets it off. The alarm is there for a reason, if you disable it you may never know when you are overflowing.

The pump alarm light is on and there is water in the tank and nothing has changed, just stopped working. Have used the bleeder and water shot out and now will not work at all. Any suggestions

Press the on/off button once to reset the alarm and once again to start the pump.
If the auto reset light is on, the pump will attempt to restart in 30 minutes.
If the auto reset light is off, press and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds.

We had to replace our hot water tank, we did this

try opening the bleeders on your radiators, one at a time starting at the one closest to the pump until all air has been expelled then close bleeder and move on to the radiator next furthest from the pump and so on.if hot water doesn't come out from the first radiator within a short time, or if you cannot hear air being forced out thru bleeder you prolly have a defective pump; have it checked/replaced by a reputable pro..my guess is that the "buzzing noise" is because the pump is defective and the electricity has no place to go.an easy preliminary check for this is to feel the pump motor while buzzing to see if it is hot, if ti is it prolly is bad

Sorry to say, but it does sound like the pump is fried. It should come on(run) when it's plugged in. The fact that the water surrounding the pump was hot is a good sign that the pump was way over-heated. Also, that oil in the water is likely from the pump. Oil is used in the pump for lubrication and to water proof the inside of the pump.
The only thing I can recommend is to see if the bottom of the pump has a removable strainer or plate, and if so, see if debris has gotten inside and bound up the impeller.
