Question about Kodak EASYSHARE M1063 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Hello! I have a Kodak Easyshare C713 camera. It turns on, has plenty of battery power and works just fine. But I have a USB cord for it to transfer pictures, and whenever I plug it into my laptop, the camera turns off immediately, and wont turn back on, so it's impossible to transfer my pictures. What is my problem?

It is the way it is, the cam will be blank or black when connected to PC...just turn it on then you will receive a transfer window on the computer.

Try the Kodak website.See if you can type in your model number.Best bet is to look for easyshare software download.I used that program with my z740 its pretty much one click auto transfer, once you have the easyshare downloaded.Hope this helps,Good Luck

I am attempting to transfer photos from my C713, but I can't power the camera on when it is plugged into the USB. I have changed the batteries and the camera will power on when the USB is disconnected...

Easy shares are set up so they won't respond when plugged in to usb. When you turn the camera on and then run the easyshare program and lastly connect the usb cable, then the pictures and video will transfer to the computer.
You can also take the SD card out of the camera and put it in your computer and transfer pictures that way as well.

My EasyShare C713 won't turn on even after I insert new batteries

It could be something more serious, but this problem is frequently due to corroded battery contacts inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a clean cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, clean the contacts at both ends of the batteries, and reinsert them in the camera. This cleaning cures the problem about 90% of the time, and I hope it works for you.

Kodak C713 dose not turn on back.

Fixing your problem could be as simple as cleaning the battery contacts in the camera, or the solution could be a lot more complex and expensive. Here's a link to the Kodak Help Center - it provides a simple Q&A format to diagnose the problem and propose a solution.

Cannot turn on my Kodak easyshare c713

Hi I had the same problem with my daughters c713. Tried several bateries found out that the camera is specific with its bateries brand. When i put in new ones from kodak itself from my sons camera a c913 the c713 turn on again. Tried a new pack local brand checked them first and voltage was ok but didn´t work again. Back in those from kodak and ok again. Tried philips also ok.
So try different brand and find out. Good luck.

My kodak c713, turns off when I plug my USB in, While transfering

Mine does the same thing. I let it shut off like it wants (while 1st plugging it into the computer), then I hit the On button while it's still plugged in. Now the computer will pick up on a new device. It's stays on when I unplug it from the computer.

does your camera turn on if you don't connect it to the computer?

once you have turned it on, connect the cable.
make sure that you are using nimh batteries in the camera.

don't use alkaline because digital cameas need more power to turn the camera on. therefore, if you use alkaline batteries, it will get drained easily.
