How to factory reset dell 1320c printer

Hi Rolando,

You can download the manual copy of Printer at http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_printers_main/esuprt_printers_color_laser/dell-1320c_user%27s%20guide_en-us.pdf

I am copied information for you. Here is the information for reset of printer.

Using the Reset button
Your printer is supplied with an electric leakage detector, which prevents electric shock or fire due to electric leakage by automatically cutting circuits inside the
printer.
When electric leakage is detected, the
Reset
button is tripped. In this case, press the
Reset
button to turn the printer back on. If the
Reset
button is tripped
again after you press the
Reset
button, contact Dell.
Check whether or not the electric leakage detector is functioning at least once a month by following the steps below:
1.
Turn on the printer, and then press the
Test
button.
l
If the
Reset
button is tripped and the printer is turned off, the electric leakage detector functions
correctly. Press the
Reset
button to turn the
printer back on.
l
If the
Reset
button is not tripped, contact Dell. Do not continue to use the printer if the electric
leakage detector is not functioning.

No dial tone

Unplug the phone cable from your computer and plug it into a telephone. If the telephone works the cable is ok. It is not uncommon to have an electrical spike come down your phone line and blow up your modem inside your computer during a thunderstorm. Get a surge supressor and put it between your line and your computer then install a new modem in your computer.

Printer will not turn on ,power button just blinks when you press it down.

Unplug the printer power cable from the electrical outlet. Reconnect the printer power cable into the electrical outlet, and turn on the printer.
If it does not work, contact Dell support. You probably have a faulty power source.

After a brief power outage during a thunderstorm my canon i9900 will not turn on. I left it un pluged for several hours and then repluged it and still nothing. Everything else in the office works fine.

The power supply of your printer are damage due to the brief power output during the thunderstorm. Just check the fuse inside of the power supply of the printer if they have some burned or else use the Multi Tester to identify that the fuse are damage or needed for replacement.

After power outage the printer won't power up.

The printer is dead, the surge got thru and fried it. Replace it and the surge-protector.

Dead Dell

It is likely the power supply has suffered damage, or has just plain failed. Dell did have problems with certain power supplies in models such as the GX270, probably others too.

Anyway, if you have a voltmeter, you can check for the presence of voltages. Modern computer power supplies have a standby and main sections. I'd guess the standby portion is dead, and if so, your computer won't turn on at all. Here is a site listing the pinout & voltage spec for a typical ATX power supply: http://pinouts.ru/Power/atxpower_pinout.shtml

Note the standby line- again, this voltage will be present anytime the computer is plugged in. The main section of the power supply comes on when the power button is pressed.

If you tech savvy, you could try repairing the power supply if not toasted severely. Otherwise, a standard universal replacement might fit the bill, or just call Dell for an exact unit.
