Question about Swingline Model 535 3-Hole Electric Punch, White

Open Question

Do the screws come all the way out of the bottom of the Swingline 535 3 hole punch?

We've losened the screws in the bottom but they do not come all the way out of the machine. Are they supposed to come completely out or just losen?

Swingline 74030 manual hole punch handle is locked down

by locked down I am going to assume you mean it will not go back to the normal postion when it is not making a hole. this can be caused by too many of the scrap pieces of paper that are left from making the hole. clogging the punch area. remove all the excess pieces of paper that may be stuck in the whole punch, then try again, you may have to pry the handle and or push and pull it until it releases. do not use again until the handle moves smoothly, clean the areas around the punch.

Cannot get the arm all the way up

this can be caused by excess paper stuck in the punch area. clean out all the excess paper, making sure to pay attention to the punch area. gently try to move the handle, it may take several tries to get the handle to move freely, make sure you clean out all excess paper before you use again.

How to remove the cover of the Swingline 48209 Optima 45

The Optima stapler does top does not remove. To reach the inside of this stapler you have to "pull it in half". Do so at your own risk!

I need to brake out a tumbler from the ignitions switch on a 1999 saab 9/3

  1. First your gonna remove the screws on the side steering cover itself.
  2. Now remove the screws on the bottom of the steering column cover.
  3. Pull the bottom half of the steering column off.
  4. Now you will see a little hole by the bottom of the tumbler.
  5. take a punch and insert it into that hole.
  6. With the punch pry up a bit and pull the tumbler out.

Regards, Tony

My Swingline Optima Power Ease will not staple, nor can I open it to try to find out why. There are staples in there, but it feels like there are no springs

This happened to me as well. I am not sure what causes this but heres what I did to fix it.

Just grab the top part of the stapler ( where it says Swingline) and pull up, like you are trying to seperate the top and bottom. You will hear a click and your stapler should work fine.

Swingline Model 525 electric 3 hole punch

It has a safety switch. This switch turns machine on when it detects paper and off if it doesn't. Something wrong with sensor. Broken, paper stuck under it, out of position. Will have to open it up and check the sensor. ***Always remember to unplug any equipment before working on it***

Broken electric 3-hole punch

There are two phillips screws in the bottom. Once they are removed, the top and bottom of the case are held together with clips molded into the case. Take a wide flat screwdriver and place it in the seam and gently pry it apart. Might want to start on the back in case you ****** up the plastic.
