Question about Yamata FY811 Mechanical Sewing Machine
I recently purchased a yamata 8500 industrial machine. The motor, machine and table were seperate. I thought that I had installed everything correctly, however when I power on the machine, the needle does not move when I press the presser foot.
Make sure the clutch motor is powering up. make sure voltage toggle switch is on 110v and not 220v. Also rotation set correctly. Independently, make sure the motor runs. With your hands and motor belt disengaged, attempt to turn the handwheel toward you. If it is moving, then make sure motor is running. It handwheel does not turn it could be the machine. Make sure the stitch length dial is set at 2 or 3 and not 0 or 5. That could be that problem as well.
