I have a buzzing sound in the engine. It goes away when I give the car gas. It comes back whenever the gas pedal is depressed. The buzzing also sounds different depending on the level the A/C is set on.

Thanks for your feedback. If it is one of those issues will it hurt anything to continue to drive it until I can get it to a mechanic?

Toyota Corolla SW 1.4 VVT-i E12, 2004. Buzzing noise coming from the engine bay when accelerating on gear.

Hi there,

The sound you hear, is it a whining, popping, grinding, scraping or rattling sound?
If you drive a manual transmission vehicle and notice a grinding noise, it can indicate the clutch gear is no longer disengaging correctly.

We've have the same problem with ours. We found the fuel canister needed replaces. It's mounted near the back bumper with straps. The part cost us about 125 bucks and was pretty easy to replace. The trick is to get the bolts out without snapping them.
