SOURCE: Mastercraft 14-in. Chop Saw w/ Laser fuse problem

The fuse is more than likely, fine.
Instead, check the carbon brushes.
Once you have dis-assembled the unit, you will see the way the springs hold them in.
If you can't find the brushes, chances are, they've desintagrated into micron thick diamonds.
(Unfortunately, they're worthless diamonds lol)
Hope that helps the problem.

SOURCE: where do I get a set of brush for a mastercraft 14'' abrasive chop saw

Your best bet in this situation is to find a tool repair center that has a large supply of brushes on hand and is willing to look for a set that will work in your saw. At my repair center I do get tools like yours that don't have repair parts available. Most brushes come in standard sizes but the caps on the spring have to be compatable with the brush holder to work properly. If you don't know where a repair center is, go online and look for Authorized Service Centers in your area. You can get more specific and look for Dewalt, Ridgid, Makita, Milwaukee, etc., service centers.

Sparking carbon brush hr5001c

Brushes can have very small, blue sparks coming off them and be OK. If it's bad enough that you can hear, smell or see excessive sparking it can be caused by: a) The brushes are worn down or the springs are collapsed and the brushes are not making good contact with the armature. b) The armature contact (commutator) is damaged or there is a short in the armature windings. Replace the brushes or armature as needed. I can't give part numbers as your problem is listed in cut-off saws and grinders but your model number is for a rotary hammer.

Brushes arcing

Brushes arc for several reasons. If the spring over heated and lost its tension or the copper line from the brush to the cap broke/burnt off or the brush wore down too far to be pressed on the armature properly. The replacement brushes you need are Makita part number CB-124. If you still have exessive sparking after replacing the brushes you may have a bad commutator on the armature. The only way to fix that is to replace the armature, Makita part number 512831-0.

I have a 10'mastercraft table saw with the carbon brush gone, and cannot not find one no place, cannot find a scrap one anywhere could you help

Try this link. If that doesn't work, see if the motor has a manufacturer or model number on it, or if the old brushes have a number stamped on them and use that to search online. Go to google and search "motor brushes" Good luck.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

BRUSHES FOR CUT OFF SAW # 55-6705-8

Hello. I can see why you've had problems getting this info. Here's the deal. The brushes are vendor supported by a company called JinDing. They specify that they have two or three different sizes of brushes for that model of saw. What they need from you (to get the proper part #) is either the UL code ro the CSA number as well as the model number. With all that, give them the CTC part number as well. They tell me the price range is about $10 + tax + shipping. I recommend ordering at least 2 pair, just to make it worth while. The phone number you want is 1(877) 683-2082 ext 205 (cust service).

If this helped, please feel free to rate this thumbs-up!
Thank you,
Richard

Looking for 10 inch mastercraft table saw delux motor parts. I have the spindle wore out and I need to order another one but I do not have the part # or where I can order it from. Can u help?

I went to the Canadian Tire company website and found this number: 1-800-689-9928. I called and it turns out that it is the number for Mastercraft parts, but apparently the table saw (I have one too) is actually made by Porter Cable so don't be shocked when they transfer you to them.

Also, make sure you have the model (or Part) number. It's seven digits (mine is 55-6831-6) but when the roboline asks for it, just put in the first 6.

Hope this helps.

Need mastercraft chop saw 14 " bruches

Take your old brushes to a hardware store. A good store will have a selection of replacement brushes, go through them to find ones that will fit. Brushes can be sanded to size, it's the spring and connector ends that have to be as close as possible.
