SOURCE: Fuser Error 50.1 Fuser is hot. What is a fuser?

MAKE SURE THE PRINTER IS OFF AND INPLUGED BEFORE YOU START! The fuser is located in the back of the printer. You should see two blue pads where your index finger and thumb (on both hands) should pinch together then pull the fuser out. Re-seat the fuser back into its original position and wait 20 minutes before turnging Unit back on. If you do not wait 20 mins then the 50 error will appear again even if the problem is fix. Once you wait 20 minutes and it still gives you a 50 error you must replace the fuser. I have a great place to purchase fuser so let me know if you nee contact info!

SOURCE: HP Laser Jet 2840 50.2 Fuser Error

Usually this means that the fuser is not heating to the correct operating temperature. Remove the fuser and check all contacts. Be careful it can be very hot. Always let it cool down for atleast 30 minutes before touching the face of the fuser. After you check it over and clean off any contacts, reseat the fuser back into the printer. Plug it back in and turn the printer on. If this doesn't work and you still get the error, the fuser needs to be replaced.

My printer is hp laser jet 4015 and it is online. it delays unnecessarily anytime one issues a print command from any of the PCs on the network.

Does it actually print? How long a delay are you experiencing? Does the data light flash? There is a known issue with these printers that older versions of the firmware can cause problems with the fuser that results in the printer just cycling but never printing. Current revision of firmware is 04.110.1. You can download from HP website. Download the EASY INSTALL, first option on page.

If your printer is cycling and not printing, this might fix it, but often the fuser is no good and will need to be replaced.

My hp laser jet p4015n is printing light, you cannot even read what is on the paper. it's almost like it didn't print at all.

What is the toner level on the printer. If this is a brand new cartridge, it is possible that you have received a bad cartridge.

HP LASER JET 3600 HAS A 50.9 ERROR MESSAGE

However what this 50.2 is telling you is the fuser is bad. You can re-seat the fuser, most likely you will need to replace the fuser.

Based on the manual :
50.9 High fuser temperature (sub-thermistor), or pressure release mechanism problem

I found this link on-line that will show you how to replace the fuser or re-seat it.
Cick Here for Instructions

Is the procedure to correct a 50.2 fuser error the same on the Laser Jet 5100dtn as discribed on the 4100?

50.2 is a fuser warmup error. Books to turn printer off for 20 minutes, if error is still there after powerup ... reseat the fuser. Then replace power supply and then DC Controller.

It's basically the same on all laser printers.
