Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Sadly the LCD/DLP wafer is failing, and the problem will progressively get worse. The DLP wafers can be replaced but it may cost as much as replacing the entire projector with an updated one. SORRY!

I have a sanyo PLC-XE40 model projector. the problem is when i power it on everything works fine ,but after like 30 mins it shuts down automatically as if i have powered it off by my self. it shuts down...

There is a lens/lamp filter which must be taken out and cleaned, use good air jet to blow and brush out dirt. If the filter is clogged then the lamp might heat up and so shut down..
if the fault does not clean try and force cool the unit, if not there is fault in the power supply, possible lamp problem or circuit error on load or heat.
You will need to open and use a test bench to check out the sections, one by one, use of multimeter and good equipments may be needed . If not take help with consensus.

Usb to serial converter

1. The USB to Serial has a comm port number, you can change that in Control Panel>Hardware and Software >Device Manager>Click on the adapter and make sure it's not disabled and try COMM 3 or a diffrent port you might have two conflicting each other.

I use Allen-Bradley and I also have to run it as admistrative privleges.

Hope this helps.

Can not make picture bigger on my Sanyo PLC-SW20 projector

depending on the size of the surface you are projecting on, and what the zoom capacity of your lens is, you probably only have one choice available to you, and that is to move your projector farther away from what you are trying to project onto.....

hope this helps!

Sanyo PLC - Z5 Lamp Replacement Light

Just had the same problem. Based on other suggestions on here I tried resetting the overheat switch, and IT WORKED!

So, you have to pull the 6 screws (one of them is shorter than the rest, remember where it goes) that hold the top on the projector. 3 are on the back, 3 on the bottom - look for the arrows next to the screws.

Put the projector on it's feet, and pull off the top. The button wires will still be connected, so just hold onto the top and find the black circle/shaft above where the lamp is. The shaft has white paint on the top/tip of it. Push it down with a light amount of force. You should hear/feel it click.

Put top back on, put screws in, and you should be good to go.

Don't forget to reset the lamp replacement counter in the menus.

The filters are starting to show their age. This is a normal occurance for projectors and is the result of heat. The filters and/or the mirrors might need to be changed.
