New Sony DVDVCR RDR-VX560 seems to be locked up

Have a new Sony DVDVCR RDR-VX560 (3 days old) seems to be locked up and cannot bring up menu with the Remote Control. When I press any button on the remote, DVD 3 appears on the front Panel. I did have it programed but now it seems to be locked. It will play a DVD by using the controls on the Recorder. Cannot turn recorder on or off with Remote.

Problem was solved by Holding down the "ENTER" button for no less than 10 seconds and after releasing it press "SYSTEM MENU". This will take you to the setup screen on your TV.
where all settings can be made from there by following the on screen directions.
