One fuel lines is the fuel delivery line the other smaller line is the return fuel line.

If you are sure that it screws on it may be a reverse threaded unit..

I bought a Shakespeare Push-n-Load 3 blade trimmer head at The Home Depot for about 26 dollars and picked up a pack of 12 replacement blades for another 7. Did a whole 3 acres worth of weed whacking and still didn't need to change the blades. I was also powering through some pretty thick bushes with ease. Highly recommended.

Your string head is part number 26 in the diagram. Home Depot's Garden department has a wide variety of parts including universal string heads and heads for Homelite, Ryobi, etc. and possibly one that will fit your machine. A lot of these trimmers have Poulan engine and trimmer head parts. See if you can get the complete assembly off the trimmer (if you haven't already) and take it with you to the HD and match it with a new one. The price of parts from an online supplier plus shipping will be almost as much as a complete replacement head. If you shop Ebay, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of weed trimmer parts on there and some good deals to boot.

Line diameter depends on which cutting head you have; t6he Manual has pictures of the different head on page 26 along with line diameters, ranging from .080 to .105 . Using a larger line diameter will keep the head from auto feeding out the line, making it very difficult when the line breaks off. I personally use a square line as opposed to a round line - it lasts a lot longer and still works with the auto feed function.
