I can't figure out how to change the ringtone or adjust the ringer volume on a Nokia 6600 Fatboy

1. Check a ringer volume and profile. Press a volume key to see the volume status bar at the top of the screen. Use the volume up and volume down keys to adjust the loudness of the ringer (scale 0 to 30). Tap on the text next to the ringer icon to change the profile (vibrate only, ring+vibrate).
2. Check if the issue is with a specific ringtone: Go to Settings > ringtones+sounds > Ringtone, and tap on a playbutton to preview the ringtone.
3. Switch off the ringer vibration (Settings > ringtones+sound > vibrate) temporary, to determine if your phone is affected by any motion settings i.e. Flip-to-Silence.
4. Make sure that call forwarding is not switched on: Tap the phone icon > ... > Settings.

If the problem persists, restart your phone by pressing and holding the power and volume down keys simultaneously until the phone vibrates. Release and the phone will restart. After this operation, you may need to re-adjust the volume and set date+time on the phone. Note that this does not remove your personal content.

Press the blue key, press no until you see Ringer. You can adjust the pitch and volume of the ringer, but not the tone itself.

If the ringout volume is very low, then try not to select a soft, silent or low ringing tone. Try to choose a ringing tone that is loud so that you can hear your phone ringout.

Changing or Selecting other ringtone or Adjusting Volume

First try this .Go to setting and select restore factory using the code 12345.If not ok replace the ringer.

The ringer volume and mp3 player volume are too low.

I think your phone ringer is faulty. You need to get it replaced.

I believe your ******** is still working, you can use the ******** alert, pending the time you get the phone ringer fixed.

There is also every possibility that nothing is wrong with the ringer, It might just be that the ringer is not contacting the phone board well because of dust, rust or something else.

You can get it checked by yourself if you can, or you might just give it to an expert to do for you.
