I have the same problem. It seems that the gasket around the freezer door and fridge door are no longer tightly adhering to the fridge therefore allowing the cool air from the freezer to continiuously entering the fridge storage and making evreything freeze up. I am trying to find out if I can purchase new gaskets and install them myself.
Any recommendation on where to find these and how to install them?
Thanks.

Model GR 382-R serial # 208MR36393 only 7 years old, not main fridge, is freezing all items in bottom, called in repairman, after 1 mo still cannot get my fridge repaired.

The damper could be sticking open or in some models, the bottom of the air tower will need to be sealed. The setting may also need to be adjusted. The recommended setting is just a normal starting point under ideal conditions. Try setting it slightly warmer. If this is electronic, it could be a board or sensor problem.

My fridge won't cool down or freeze

Your condenser is likely dirty clean it. the compressor could be tripped out on over load (to hot) unplug the fridge a couple hours should do it . plug it back in make sure the thermostat is on and set correctly if that does not work you will need service. Tom

I have an lg model=gr-l206cvqa fridge freezer, the ice box keeps freezing solid into one big lump of ice

Ice cube tray needs to be replaced if you are referring to the ice bucket area freezing all up. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks
