I think this is mechanical problem and you need to check and remove belt-related assembly part.
Thanks

Konica minolta 1690mf process error belt clear by cover

KONICA MINOLTA 1690MF ERROR:
process error - belt (clear by cover)

SOLUTION: Open and close the scanner unit. Reseat the Image Unit and cycle the power to the machine. If the error persists and the machine is covered by warranty, a printer exchange is recommended.

My HP750 plotter just displayed the message, "Switch Power Off; Check Cartridge Path" after the last print job. I see nothing blocking the printer cartridges and can't get the message to clear. Am I...

I've seen this error on the Designjet 750 plotters. Basically the plotter puts out this error if the carriage assembley cannot move along the Y-Axis (back and forth)
The carriage moves along the Y-Axis driven by a motor with a metal gear, pushing and pulling a rubber belt. Over time the interaction between the metal and rubber causes the teeth to wear off the belt and often times the worn rubber gets stuck in the teeth of the motor gear.
So, open the cover, and look behind/below the carriage itself and find the belt which runs the width of the printer. Run your fingers along the tooth side of the belt and check for degraded teeth, aslo examine the metal base below for any debris If you find debris, this is your root cause of the error you are getting.
Unfortunately, changing the belts on these machines is quite a process; on average it takes me 3 hours to replace a belt (and I've done dozens of them) It would be best to find an experienced tech since there can be some difficulties when replacing the belt (specifically proper belt alignment, and the removal of the side covers can be tricky as well.)
If you do not have any debris, and the belt is degraded, it could be that the motor which propels the carriage could be bad or something is obstructing the movement of the carriage head (the ink supply lines, the pen path, or media could be the issue).

Phaser 6100 - lever unlocking error

This printer is same as Samsung CLP-500. So the problem is the same: Contaminated transfer belt sensor.

Do as follow:
Lift transfer belt assy from printer(Drop down back door 90 degree, press white button, lift top cover and release 2 locking levers, grab handle, pull the belt unit out), turn upside down & rotate plastic roller until small clear "window" appears along one edge of belt. Clean both sides of clear window with cotton bud. on same side as window, remove 2 screws securing flimsy plastic cover to gain acess to sensor, (follow red/black wires)remove a screw and pull out "U" shaped sensor(light transmiter and receiver), cotton bud and blow away dust on slits on inner surfaces of sensor. Reassamble and everything should be ok.If not, senser may be too contaminated, clean slits vigorousley with cotton bud, or maybe you just need a new sensor.

The theory is that printer detect transfer belt by transmit light through the clear "window". If either window not clear or sensor is contaminated, light will not reach the receriver part of the sensor, printer will report such errors.

Good luck.
