Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer
My Gallery front load washer (Model FWT647GHS0) is making what I consider to be excessive spin noise during the last spin cycle. When the tub is spun by hand, there is a rough friction feel rather than a smooth rotation. Any Ideas as ti what the problem is. Earl Dolven, email@example.com
If you remove the back panel you will see the shock that hold the tub up sometimes these will break or become weak and not hold the tub up stiffly and not absorb the movement if none are broken then you have a rear bearing issue! The jet engine sound is not normal these unit have a bearing in the back that are pressed into the rear drum when they sound like this the bearing is bad the only way to fix this is to change the rear drum n. So if the shocks test ok i would suspect the bearing has gone out!Ok if you need the shocks there is two plastic shafts that hold them on you will see them they just push out the part is the shocks take the model number to your local appliances parts house they can order them for you.

Have u ever thought if the problem has to do ne thing with the placement/mounting of the machine?? as jeevan.m has given the possible machanical reason apart from dat please note that..placing machine @ rite location to works. It is a good machine, made with good materials unlike the sub standard things used in new machines. Is the floor still solid, not getting weak or spongy? Do the feet have rubber left on them or are they just metal? Are the front feet screwed in a manner that lifts the front of the washer, if so, turn them down as far as they go, then lift the back of the machine by tilting it forward and let the self leveling back legs level the machine.
you have checked the feet.....the rear ones are self leveling. Standing in front of the machine, tilt the machine toward you about three inches and let it drop back down on the rear feet. This will level the rear. Might also want to place some little rubber pieces under each of the feet to help from sliding and going more unbalance issues.. so as to minimise the sound.
