Most likly the drive is bad. Try click start. click on my Computer. Right click the CD/DVD drive. Click properties. Click on Hardware. Does it say. This Device Is Working Properly? If not click on troubleshoot. At the HP web site you can get the latest driver for your CD/DVD drive. You can also insert a CD Go to my computer as stated earlier Right click CD/DVD drive to see what is on the disc. Or click play to see if it works. make sure you choose a default player.
