The refrigerator door will not close on it's own properly. I have to push it to have it shut all the way. It hangs open at about a 45 degree angle (halfway) when the door cam makes contact with the lever assembly. It's as if the lever assembly has too much tension on it and is actually pushing back on the door. The cams look intact and have no damage to them. Could they be switched between the fresh food door and the freezer door? Is there something else going on here?
It's easy job. All u need is x3 spinal. Then just tighten up bit from top of the door as well as bottom, make sure to disconnect the power before you attempt.
good luck

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refrigerator model 795.77573600
My Kenmore Elite (Model 795.7755 3600), less than two years old, had
the same problem. One morning I opened the doors to a hot fridge and
burning plastic. The light housing was sizzling hot - much of the unit
literally melting away. Another hour or two and it could have been
much worse.
Called the 1-800 number listed in the fridge. After about 45 minutes
of patient talking, I learned that Sears (or Kenmore) have issued what
they refer to as a "flash warranty) on the light fixture kit (Kit #
6871JB1423N) which in effect, for this part only, extends the factory
warranty from one year to three years. I may even be able to have a
factory tech install the parts. Hope it works out.
Bottom line: if you have this fridge, be very careful and monitor closely. An pursue the part warranty!

Remove all the food from the freezer and then the drawer from the cabinet. Now using a silicone based lubricant, lube the tracks up real well. Be sure to clean the tracks first if gunked up. Make sure nothing small fell out of the basket over time and is laying on the floor in the rear of the freezer section. Once done, you should be fine.

Hi, Sometines you can stretch the seal. T4ry and put a rolled up piece of paper towel and stick it behind the seal in the area that is not touching. If the seal is not touching in the corners, You might be able to twist the door back in shape. If the seal is open at the bottom, pull the top corner of the door toward you while holding the bottom corner against the refrigerator..
If neither of these ideas work, you will need to replace the seal.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
