Question about Televison & Video

Why would a Mitsubishi WD-65735 Television turn on and have sound but no picture?

I have changed the lamp twice in the past and both times the picture slowly went away but tv worked fine besides weak picture. This time the tv would not boot up and went to a red lamp light. Now it turns on and I hear static sound but no picture at all. I do not want to waste money and buy a lamp if it is a bigger issue.

Have you pulled the lamp out & checked it. It is possible you have gotten poor quality lamp. It is critical on a mitsubishi to get the proper lamp.

My mitsubishi WD-65735 1080P has a green blinking light under the word lamp..what does that mean?

all these sets have a boot up if unplugged.

If power is lost or disconnected when reconnected green light will blink for about 70 seconds (set is rebooting) and then go off allowing set to be turned on.

I have a wd-65735 and the picture is week even with the brightness up all the way. do i need a new tube? Thank you

It is likely you need a lamp. Go to for best price. A lamp is needed especially if you have no discoloration of the picture. Accessing the lamp is easy by locating the access panel usually on the back of the set. Remove the door then the lamp with its housing. Inspect the lamp carefully and see if there are any bulges at the base of the filament in the center of the lamp itself. If so it is weak.

I just change the lamp on this DLP TV worked fine for a day and now it does not come on there is sound but no image

Not seeing the set it is hard to say, but a lot of times the pins in the adapters to the lamp become loose or do not sit properly. It sounds like it might not have been the lamp, but a power supply problem.

My two year old WD-65735 TV's screen is hard to view unless we turn up the brightness and turn off all the room lights.

Time to replace the lamp. If it been at least two years then its time for a new one... This will restore brightness level of the picture to normal. Also while back there make sure you clean any clogged vents or filters.
