Question about Lanzar SD4MU Car Video Player
I have a Lanzar sd4mu dvd player. I have a 1961 chevy truck with some sketchy wiring. I have tried to bypass the parking brake switch by grounding it out and still get a message on the screeen that says parking brake. I have tried a switch and this still does not work. I took the back of the cd player apart thinking the wire was not connected on the inside, this is not the case. This unit is used, thats why I did that. Any hints on how to overcome this issue would be greatly appreciated. The wiring diagram says B - for parking switch
What you need is a toggle switch...
put the switch between the parking brake wire, and actual ground,
the black wire will work, just extend the wire so the toggle switch is
accessible, once you do that turn your indash on,
slap a dvd in it, then once it displays the parking brake message,
hit your toggle switch once, if it doesnt get it,
try it multiple times but with a second between clicks,
that should do it and please keep the eyes on the road. :]
