Washing machine won't go to spin cycle if there are towels in it

Washing machines have trouble if they are overloaded and the load gets out of balance. This occurs most often with towels. Open the machine and lift the towels out and put them back in evenly to get the load to finish. You will see how heavy they are when full of water. In future, try running with a few less towels and see if it works ok. You have found the other 'fix' by draining and running spin only which probably resettles the load.

Hot water stops filling too soon.

Fill setting has to be adjusted and the belt is slipping on the spin cycle and not generating enough centrifugal force to get the water out.

My front load Kenmore washer won't spin dry, I overloaded it and it stopped and the closes are wet, there is a lot of water in the "machine" part of the washer. I took out some of the wash...

It sonds like the over load of towels overloaded the drive motor. I looked at the scematic and there is no fuse in the circuit. My estimate is that the motor control board needs replscing. Do you have an ohm meter?

Remove 6 screws of the cover plate, at the rear of the nachine. UNPLUG THE WASHER.
in the lower right hand corner you see the drive motor. Unplug the 5 pin connector that is on the right side of the motor.

Check winding resistance by checking ohms on the motor connector. Pin 1 is the pin at the bottom of the male connector, on the MOTOR. Check pin1 to 2 and pin 1 to pin3, then2 to 3.
They shoukd read 4 to 6 ohms. If readings are higher on the meter or they show infinite you need to replace the the main motor/. If 4 to 6 ohms show on the motor windings, then the motor control board needs rwplace. Let me know

I just purchased my Cabrio washer...have had it a week. When I use the normal cycle, the machine does not spin the clothes at the end of it so when they cycle is done the clothes are dripping wet. I then...

I have had my Cabrio washer a little over a year. No it isn't suppose to do that. There is a setting for spinning high medium and low spin. Maybe you can change the spin setting manually. See if that works The washer is computer operated so the spinning cycle must be out on your normal cycle. I did myself a favor and I keep all clothes on towels and sheets. I set the temp for the water on what I would like manually. The washer fills up with more water and seems to clean the clothes better and My washer does the same thing from time to time about not spinning. Just remember you can set all wash manually with water temp and spin cycle. Is your washer still under warrenty?

Machine won't empty

It will not spin if there is water in it.
Locate the filter, which should be at the bottom front right of washer behind a drop down flap or cover.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.
Hope fully this will solve the problem.

Beach towels sopping wet after machine done spinning

The washer will not proceed into high speed spin with just two large beach towels in the basket. The washer is detecting a out of balance condition, and remains in low speed spin. Solution? Try adding more items into the basket. With only two towels, there is not enough mass to balance the washer. With more clothing or towels, there is more items for the machine to balance, and reach full speed spin.

The only other thing that could cause this, would be if the water in the tub is not completely draining in the time allowed. This washe does not have a cleanout, and checking for an obtruction in the pump is difficult. I would go with the more clothes first, then see.

Washer will not drain nor spin. Did have a OL IN THE INDICATION WINDOW WHEN PROBLEM FIRST OCCURRED

The OL means that the load was overloaded and shut itself off due to weight.
