Remote handpiece for Pioneer Plasma TV?

The serial number of my TV is FDAT069334EV. Model 1256277174. I cannot get the remote handpiece to activate the TV. It has always been slow, but now it does not work at all. I have owned the system since new in 2006. Could you advise me of a fix, or where to obtain a new handpiece? I live in Brisbane, Australia.

only a uhf remote will work from that location, you will probably need to get a dish network 6.0 or 6.3 remote

SOURCE: how do i program my remote

1. TV on.
2. On your Dish Network remote PRESS AND HOLD the small clear tv button until all buttons across the top of the remote light up and release. The only button lit should be the clear tv button that will be flashing.
3. Press the small red tv button next to the power button and release it. This should leave the clear tv button that was flashing lit solid.
4. Now slowly depress the channel up key until the tv turns off. Each time the up channel button is depressed the clear tv button will cease being lit and once it is released the clear tv button should remain solid. If the clear tv button flashes multiple times it usually means there is no known code for your tv, there may be another code that will work so continue on.
5. Once you are successful in getting the TV turned off press the channel down button once and then the channel up button. This should turn the TV back on.
6.Press the # key button on the remote. The clear tv button should flash three times then press the record button and try the volume up/down and the small red tv button. You should be able to turn volume up and down and turn tv on /off. If only one of these function it means that you have only found a half code and need to try the process again. Not all TV's have full codes or any codes at all especially combo units.

SOURCE: Cannot access channel 73 on TV2

If you are unable to access the TV menu using the buttons on the TV itself it is possible you can with the TV2 remote if it still controls the volume etc. for this TV. If it doe not you will need to find a code for your set in the manual for the receiver or you can go to the following link to find that info as well.http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/receiver/625.shtml
Assuming you have control of the volume still press the small TV button on the top left of the remote. Now press the menu button and you may be able to access the TV's menu. If so you need to run a channel scan/auto program the TV. You may need to use the buttons on the TV still to maneuver through the menu.
If you are still unable to access the menu you may need to purchase a universal to access the menu.

Pioneer plasma tv picture is cutting off heads

Issue may be adjustable in the Tech menu with your remote---you need to see if you can find the service manual (with schematics and information about getting into that menu and how to adjust).

Try to GOOGLE MODEL NUMBER WITH service manual or contact Pioneer.

My remote will not perform any functions with the Plasma TV. No Volume, Channel, Input, TV (off/on) etc.

If you have fresh batteries in your remote and its still not working, then try another remote and if you can't get another remote to work with the TV then you know its not a remote problem and its more then likely a problem with the IR sensor in the Plasma TV.

If thats your case after doing your troubleshooting then see if your Pioneer Plasma tv is under warranty, if it is contact Pioneer to get the TV covered under warranty. If its not then you would need to contact Pioneer to get the part # for the IR sensor on the plasma tv.

Then depending on price you can buy it from them or do a search on google to find the best price for the IR Sensor.

Remote code for ps3

You should get a new remote control. TV manufacturers don't spend mich time or effort finding codes to all appliances. If you get a remote that can learn codes, it doesn't have to be in the ir codes list.

I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.
