Question about Heating & Cooling
We purchased our amana unit in july 07 with the service contract to begin in 08 they serviced it in sept of 08 and as of yesterday it was blowing plain air. we called the company and they came out and repaired it. Said it froze and needed the coolant. shouldnt that have been taken care of with the servicing? they charged us $157.60 with a service contract. I thought this was quite high but my husband paid it. please reply. Thankyou,
The first conceren is why would it loose refrigerant. It is a sealed system just like your refrigerator. Before they added refrigerant they should have found the leak and repaired it. They now know there is a refrigerant leak as it was okay in September and it is low now. .
