I've had the same problem. I removed the top lit and found some pressure
transmitter and a pressure switch. I suspect that the pressure
transmitter is use for measuring the waterlevel in the machine. I think
the membrane loses its flexibility over the years.
I pulled of the hose from the transmitter and blowed and sucked a few times on the transmitter. After doing this the machine washes without a problem since then.
Hope it helps for you.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FAFW3517KW, is constantly showing you pause, when you press start it flashes the pause again, and that the door lock light does not come on. You could be seeing a couple of different possible reasons this is happening such as your control panel, door lock assembly, or door switch. Since it could be any of the underlying issues I would recommend having a professional come out to the home and repair the washer. -Matt

Hey friend, I appreciate your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire washer, LTF7000ES0, will not complete a cycle and the display will also go blank. It sounds like it could possibly be a problem with your control board, drawer, or lock switch. Since it could be any one of these issues I would recommend having a professional come out to your home and repair your washer. -Matt

Hello friend, that's a great question!
In order to provide you accurate possibilities of why your washer continues to pause and show 18h, I would need your model number please. You can normally locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the upper front interior of the door frame on a front load washer. If you own a top load washer you would normally find the serial tag on the inside of the lid, on the right side. Thank you and I look forward to your response.-Matt
