If the leak is forward then it is engine oil leak and probably will be the PTO seal of the engine. If rearward then it is transmission related. The deck itself has only grease in sealed bearings.

It may be the main shaft seal. I will recommend washing it then try to look for it.

It is difficult to answer without knowing more. If this is a zero turn it could be a wheel motor seal. It could be an engine seal or a transaxle seal. From your description I would guess you have a hydraulic lift for the deck. I would check the hydraulic hoses and fittings. If you still have no clue check reservoir levels. The low reservoir should be the leading

How do you check the hydulic oil on the mower

You didn't give the model number but from the manual I read it is sealed. "the transmission is maintenance free with no need for
level checks or oil changes. If a leak occurs, replace

I have a husqvarna LTH 126 ride on mower ,do i have to check oil in gearbox and is there more than four grease nipples

Hydro units are pretty well sealed, if there is no leakage under the machine when left, then leave it alone.

Oil leaking around the oil filter, oil filter has been tightned

Did the old gasket from old filter stick to base and when you put a new filter on it now has two gaskets? I would remove filter and clean base thoroughly and check for additional gasket. After installing new filter I would clean the area well. Add oil, start unit and carefully check for leaks to pinpoint. Hope this helped. Happy wrenching!

My transmission on my 2001 flhrci suddenly started leaking. don't notice leakage when bike is upright

Clean all oil from the bike exterior. Leave it sitting in an upright position for a period of time. This may require a bike lift or other such device. Then look for leak source. Make sure oil level is not too high. When changing oil it often gets on the cross member and may leak when on the jiffy satnd for a while until it is all gone from this area. Make sure to always use thread sealant and a good o-ring on the drain plug.

Do I need to remove the deck to replace my blades?

you don't have to remove the deck if you have a way to get under it. i have used car ramps, jacked mower up and used blocks any way that you do it be careful. if you don't have a way to get under the mower then yes the next best thing is to remove the deck. the one good thing about doing that is that you get a chance to look over things and if something should addressed you'll find. take your time make sure it's right. If there is anything else i can help you with feel free to contact me

Far as I know the warranties are not transferable. Some hydrastatic transmission fluid can be checked by removing the battery and underneath there is a place to put the fluid and to check it. But not all models or makes gives you this option.
