Did you refill the cartridges? If yes, you seem to much inkrefill. When hp refilled cartridges, respiratory holes must beclosed as usual. The hole should not be sealed but should notbe too loose. If too tight, the ink will not come out, if too loose, ink will flood because the force of gravity. At the time of printing, and emerging gaps, try to head off and check the bottom of the head is the ink floods.

That is quite normal . All inkjets run a cleaning cycle when turned on to make sure there is a good flow through the printhead and to prevent the head from becoming blocked. You cannot turn it off.

Look at this link for the app to reset the waste pad ink counter, and the video helps too; remeber to clean your waste ink pad because it can spill ink to your desk in a extreme case; you need to open your printer to clean the waste ink pad; search for instructions online.
PD: I have reset my counter six times and cleaned the waste ink pad two times; after six years I keep using my printer correctly.

Cleaning the waste ink pad on most printers.

Hello,

Assuming that you have already removed the Waste ink pad from your printer. Place it in hot running water and i mean lots of water. when you think enough of the ink has been cleaned, start squeezing the waste ink pad in the running water do this until no more ink comes out and the pad is White in color. Replace it your printer and you are good to go.

Locate waste ink absorber pad

canon pixma ip1000 printer, how do you access and clean waste ink absorber pad

Indicates waste ink absorber is almost full on cannon i9900 print

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink full" error.

The waste ink absorption pads cannot be emptied, only replaced.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

Xerox 8500 excessive ink use

Hi,

One of the reasons this could be happening is because you are using non-xerox ink so your print head needs to clean it out much more often. Be careful using other ink as this can destroy the machines printhead which is more expensive then the machine itself to replace. What you could try is installing the new printhead firmware, it might help! Follow the link below and good luck!

Phaser 8500 cleaning page

You can't. Just simply stated. It is the way it's designed.
Per Xerox below

NOTE: The automatic printhead cleaning cycle cannot be disabled.
The printer performs automatic printhead cleaning cycles to remove air bubbles or foreign matter that can cause a printhead jet to malfunction. An automatic printhead cleaning cycle is performed when the printer is first powered ON, or if the ink has cooled to the point that a cleaning cycle is required.
Powering OFF the printer longer than 3 or 4 minutes will also cause the printer to perform a printhead cleaning cycle when the printer is powered back ON, which uses ink. To minimize ink consumption, keep the printer powered ON at all times.
