There are two vertical fonts - small and normal. To put the labeler into vertical mode, hold down the [Code] key and tap the [J] key.
When it asks " 1-9 ", let go of the [Code] key.
Press the key if you want small vertical type, OR the key if you want normal size vertical type. Then you have to hit the [ <--' ] enter key.
Now you are stuck in Vertical mode ! :-O
To get back to normal, hold down the [Code] key and tap the [J] key, Let go of the [Code] key.
Then tap the key and the enter [<--'] key. You are back to horizontal labelling.

Many Thanks. I down loaded the instruction manual then noticed that there are brief instructions on the back of unit.

Once you snap in the catridge you have to put the back of the p-touch back on. After that you can feed through the tape by pressing Code Space. If the back of your P-touch is not on it will not advance through.... I learned the hard way :) Hope it helps you all.

In case you've forgotten how to change the text size, hold down 'Code' and '& Size' key to display the current setting. While still holding the Code button, push and release the '&' key to change the size.
To reset, I would try removing the batteries for a few minutes before reinstalling them.
Just two guesses.

Hi, it seem your label maker is set to the last(amount) of labels printed. Go to: Print Labels, click; Number of Labels; clear to set to (1) Label. That should stop the run off of labels. Thanks paul70f9
