First check for line voltage 240v...if thats good .check for burnt wiring at fan capacitor.if you hear the compressor humming but still no fan you may need a fan motor.. when buying your new motor make sure to match horsepower and r.p.m

My air handler fan does not come on, the outside unit turns on fine. Is their a way to reset the fan?

Check for fan operation by turning the fan control at the thermostat to "on". If the fan blows, it works. If not, check a circuit breaker or fuse.

If the fan blows when forcing it on with the thermostat but not in automatic, check the fan control circuit in the air handler. Danger: high voltage, beware! There should be a system wiring diagram inside the air handler somewhere.

2000 NISSAN 4X4 P/U A/C SYSTEM WILL BLOW COLD WHEN OUTSIDE AIR TEMP IS COOL, WHEN HOT OUTSIDE AIR BLOWS HOT.

your auxillary fan is not working. this fan is responsible for cooling the freon that is being circulated in your cooling system... check if there are any loose wires in front of the engine bay.

the auxillary fan is located right beside your radiator fan.

Goodman central air conditioner not blowing normally

It sounds like the compressor is not coming on in the outside unit. If it worked fine and was cooling before, then your compressor probably over-heated and tripped the internal overload switch which causes it to stay off while everything else is working. The most common cause of your compressor over heating is an incorrect refrigerant charge, though it could be a few other things like a restriction in the copper line set. You will be able to hear the fan motor and the compressor kick on if you listen close while the system first turns on. If the compressor is over-heated, then after it cools to a save temperature, it will come on again, but only till it over-heats again. I would have the charge checked on the system, but remember that if the compressor is over-heated when the technician gets there, there is nothing he can do until it cools down and time is money! It's best to not run it until the problem gets figured out. Hope this helps and points you in the right direction. Good luck!

Central air conditioning blowing out hot, not

Can you tell if your outside unit is running (the fan and compressor)? Sometimes it is hard to hear the compressor for the fan. If they are running then you possibly have a low refrigerant charge and need to have some added. Refrigerant pressures and temps can be checked to verify this. If they are not running then you need to find out why. If both the fan and compressor are not running then first make sure all the breakers and disconnects are closed. Then a bad contactor or capacitor could be the problem. If its just the compressor that's not running then it could still be the capacitor or maybe the compressor.

Central heat does not blow hot air, just warm air weakly

Sounds like some of the elements are not working. You being in Florida they may not have put very many elements in. It was 61 degrees last week. I know because I'm a Dolphin Fan. You will need a current sensing meter to check the elements.

Central air unit only blows warm air , when set on cold

First check to see if your outside unit is working and you can here the compressor running. If the fan runs and the compressor does not you have a problem with the capacitor or wires burnt off terminals. If your not sure you know how to work on this please call a service tech ask for free estimate. If the unit compressor and fan runs you may be out of gas that meanns you have a leak. Either way you need a service tech. You can only go so far without the correct tools to work with. Russ

Central air unit problem.......It starts out blowing cold then will only blow room temp air after some time. I don't see anything freezing up..Filter is clear. The unit outside is not clogged up. The...

Check your outside unit to see if fan is running. If it is running check to see if air is blowing out if not you have a bad capacitor. Some times if a capacitor shorts out the fan will run backwards and the line will get very hot same as if the fan is not running. Russ
