I am not familiar with the Troy Built chainsaw but see my answer to the same question for a Craftsman Chainsaw. I have owned, Homelite, Poulan, Remington and Harbor Freight Tools chainsaws and the fuel lines to all of the were identical. I suspect it's the same on every brand.

I suspect my answer would be applicable to your saw as well.

I have a troybuilt weed eater. I just put a new carbeutor on and its not running right. It has compression but will not start?

check the position of the fuel lines to the primer or if part of the carby from the tank to the carby
the way it works is that the primer bulb sucks fuel through the carby to prime it so the tank line goes to the carby and the line from the primer back to the tank
could be flooded or the metering screws have to be adjusted

Troybuilt tb80ec wont start

If you didn't over winter the engine properly it could be several things. Start with replacing the fuel filter. If it still won't start... time to put in a carburator kit. Next time make sure you run your weed eater dry and spray some wd-40 or the like into the spark plug hole.

Hi Robert:
Sounds like a matter of removing the old lines and installing new ones.
Work safe! Drain fuel from tank first.

It will not start

pull the spark plug out and check to see if it is wet causing a flooded situation. I am willing to bet however that the carburetor diaphragms have dried out requiring a rebuild or replacement. with the low cost of carburetors I generally just replace them since it is cheaper for the customer than to rebuild one

I have a troybuilt bronco riding tractor with 18horse Kohler twin engine. it cranks but wont fire. It is getting fuel to the carb. If I spray carb cleaner into the carb it will run for a second then...

You most likely have a problem in the carburetor. It will need to be disassembled and cleaned. In regards to the backfire eliminator, you can remove it (caution, clamp off the fuel at the fuel line or you will be draining the fuel tank throught the carburetor. With the wire harness removed you attach two wires to the prongs and put one to positive and the other to negative and it should move. It should audibly click when it does, operates quickly.

I hope this helps, if any questions let me know.

Troybuilt 2 cycle fuel line routing

Typical fuel line routing is:

One line (the one with the fuel filter in the end of it) comes out of the fuel tank and goes to the bottom fitting on the carburator. The second line comes out of the tank and goes to the bottom fitting on the primer bulb. The third section of line goes from the top fitting on primer bulb to top fitting on the carburator. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Troybuilt 24 hp runs poping noise and stops like its running out

Check the high voltage cable of the spark plug if there is some voltage leak or if you cannot find, try to replace this high voltage cable.
